28 hours

Josh left for SD about 28 hours ago. How do I know this? BECAUSE THIS HAS BEEN THE LONGEST 28 HOURS OF MY LIFE. Being alone, completely alone, with an infant and two neurotic dogs who all seem to know that I am the lone grown-up in this house and have decided that I should run a gauntlet of their bodily fluids, for 28 hours is a very VERY long time.

Luckily, tomorrow will bring some relief as Lola and I are driving to San Francisco to visit her godparents and some other special friends. In the meantime, I am going to bed because BY GOD I AM EXHAUSTED. I don't know how single parents do this, I really don't.

  1. D- Hang in there. I hope that you get some relief in San Francisco. We are doing relatively well. I'm still low on sleep, but have lots of grandparent help yet. My dad and in-laws are leaving today, but my mom is going to be here for another week or so, so that will be nice. Xander has been great, (knock on wood.) He has been sleeping mostly 2 to 3 hour stretches at night and not too fussy.

  2. I'm really glad I didn't see this posting before you came down and I came up. I probably would have kidnapped her and put you to bed.
