Say Hi to Your Mother for Me

Yeesssss. Three posts in a single weekend. You, and by you I mean all three of my regular readers, are quite lucky. :) However please note, three posts in a row is a fluke of sorts. I'm not making any promises for next weekend.

This morning Lola and I hung out while Josh was at work. I took a ton of photos of her (to document her 3 months of being - I'll post those later) and then dressed her in a onesie that I had purchased earlier in the week as a Mother's Day present to myself. Pretty cute, huh?

Once Josh was home, we started gathering things together for our m-day excursion. When Josh had asked me a few weeks ago what I wanted to do for Mother's Day, I said I wanted a picnic and I wanted sushi. A bit unusual I know, but it was my day and that is what I wanted. So, yes, we had a sushi-picnic.
Josh surprised me with a super cute picnic basket that was complete with champagne flutes, flatware, plates, and napkins. It was very martha. I loved it.

After we stuffed ourselves full of sushi goodness, it was naptime.
I'm sure you can guess which one of us wasn't interested in taking a nap. So, instead, we played.

She wasn't too hip about her daddy's scratchy face.

But she humored us and let us take lots of photos.

It was a glorious day.

  1. That looks like the PERFECT day. And I gotta say, all three of you are very photogenic at that overhead angle. Picnics suit you.

  2. I agree with Amy. I don't look so great from that angle. And I love the basket, it is VERY Martha. :)
