Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I know that I write that every year, but it's true. I love me some Thanksgiving. This year, Manny (Josh's dad), was our guest of honor.



Lola loved spending time with her grandpa. She insisted on reading him book, after book, after book.



On this year's menu:

Turkey (albeit a small side of turkey)
Italian sausage jalapeno cornbread stuffing
Mushroom gravy
Garlicky cheesy mashed potatoes
Roasted winter vegetables (parsnips, butternut squash and sweet potatoes)
Serrano cranberry sauce
Gingerbread apple pie

I didn't any photos of the meal. But I did take one of the pie. I made it completely from scratch. It was delicious.



Afterward the big meal, it was nap time. Archie snoozed with the Thankful Turkey.
