The Pumpkin Patch

Down the street from our house, and by that I mean literally down the street, one of our neighbors opened up their property to the public and created a pumpkin patch. Ever since it opened on October 1, Josh and I talked about taking Lola there, but we didn't get around to it, until today.

Luckily, they are open each day until dusk, so we were able to swing by after my workday ended.

Along with the standard pumpkin patch activities (a hay ride, farm animals to pet, a bouncehouse, hot apple cider) there were, of course, huge fields filled with pumpkins. We grabbed a wheelbarrow and went to work, searching for the perfect pumpkins.

Lola allowed us to snap a few photos.

But she spent most of her time exploring the pumpkins.

Once we chose our pumpkins, we loaded them up in the wheelbarrow and made our way back to the barn.

I'm sad that we didn't visit the pumpkin patch earlier this month. The pumpkins we purchased are delightful as they sit on the floor in my kitchen. Tomorrow, we are attending a pumpkin carving party, so very soon they will be jack-o-lanterns. :)

  1. Helllllllooooo...BOUNCE HOUSE? If there's one thing better than Lola doing anything, it would be Lola bouncing around.

    GO BACK TOMORROW!

  4. I would take L back today for the bouncehouse, but babies can't go in them. Something about keeping their brains in tact. :)
