Lola is currently mastering the pronunciation of body part names that are more difficult for her. Lately, this list has included:
armpit,
eyebrow,
elbow,
finger nail.
And as of a few days ago, she added a new one to the list. The newest word to the vocab scene is "gy-ny-nas." You can decode that one, all on your own.
A favorite in our house too. :)
ReplyDeleteGrandma said that when Mark B was a little guy, he said 'bellybutton' and Grammie (Louises grandma, my great-grandma) said "oh, don't teach him that". She really was a Victorian and 1) children should be seen but not heard and 2) body parts were not spoken out loud. By the time I knew her, she'd sopped believing in #1
ReplyDeleteDid you teach her vagina?!
