Week One

If parenthood is a special society of sorts, I believe Josh and I were just hazed.

(In case you are wondering, I also believe we survived).

Honestly, I'm surprised I can still compose sentances (although I can't promise that anything is grammatically correct). Sleep deprivation, nursing struggles, the overanalyzation of poop, and the terrifying umbilical cord stump adequately describe our first week at home.

One piece of advice that I've found to be incredibly true is, "sleep when your baby sleeps." Right now, Lola is sleeping which means I need to take a nap. I don't care that it's 6:53 PM, I'm going to sleep. :) In the meantime, here are some photos (because I know the photos are the real reason you decided to visit my blog)

  1. Those pictures are just beautiful! I am in love with your little Lola Jane and I haven't even been able meet her yet!
Yes the umbilical stump is disgusting...I was even more grossed out with Aidan's than with Olivia's. Hopefully Lola's will be gone in less than a week! :) HOpe this week gets easier!
