We able to see both the State Senate floor,
and the State Assembly floor since they were not in session while our tour was taking place.
Taking a walking tour with a toddler isn't the best idea, if you want to actually listen to the tour guide. Lola preferred to wander down the halls of democracy at her own pace. And, by wander, I mean, run.
Until that is, she realized that the Golden State Bear wanted her to stay with the group. This encounter resulted in a loud shriek and quick u-turn.
Yes, Lola, just about everything in California's capitol is going to be at least just a little bit scary. See, it all started when we decided just ANYONE could amend the state Constitution...
